Marietta High School Graduate Uhrig Highlights 2014 Capital Men's Soccer Recruiting Class

2014 Jun 5

Brennan Uhrig, a native of Marietta, OH, and graduate of Marietta High School, is one of 18 first-year student-athletes who have deposited and committed to play for the Capital University men's soccer team this fall, third-year head coach Alan Yost announced.

The Crusaders finished 9-8-3 overall, including a 5-4 record in the Ohio Athletic Conference, in 2013. Capital reached the OAC Tournament semifinals, where they were outlasted in double overtime at eventual tournament champion and NCAA qualifier Ohio Northern. Three players were named all-conference following the season, and six garnered Academic All-OAC accolades.

Yost has led the team to several impressive results over the last two seasons, including wins over perennial contenders Colorado College and Ohio Northern, and a tie in 2012 against Ohio Wesleyan, which won the national championship one year earlier.
