Delaware Native Tate Stover Named OAC Defenseman of the Week

Tate Stover, a Delaware native and member of the Capital University men's lacrosse team, has earned Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors following a 13-4 victory over Franciscan Saturday in the Crusaders' first-ever varsity lacrosse game.

Stover received the honors following an impressive afternoon on the defensive side of the ball, causing five turnovers on the Barons and tallying one ground ball.

In addition, Stover played a key role in the Crusaders defense holding the Barons to a 43-minute scoring drought on Saturday, as they did not allow a goal until late in the third quarter.

Capital forced a total of 24 turnovers on Franciscan, while posting a perfect 13-13 mark in clears for the game.

The Crusaders return to action this Wednesday at Hiram at 4 p.m.
