Columbus Native Caitlin Prange Takes OAC 200-Meter Dash Title

2014 Mar 13

Caitlin Prange, a senior at Capital University and member of the women's track and field team, is the Ohio Athletic Conference's Indoor 200-Meter Dash champion after winning the race at the OAC Indoor Championships on March 1 at the University of Mount Union.

Prange, a Bishop Watterson High School graduate, posted a then-school record time of 25.82 to win the event by more than three-tenths of a second over Mount Union's Lisa Brasdovich. It was Prange's first individual title of her career and her ninth time earning All-OAC accolades (indoor or outdoor). She also led the 4x200- and 4x400-meter relay teams to top-five finishes at the meet.

Prange improved her school record mark in the 200 to 25.80 seconds to post the 34th-best time in all of NCAA Division III and just missing out on qualifying to compete at this weekend's NCAA Indoor Championships.

The Crusaders begin outdoor competition on March 22 at the Amy Adams Invitational at Muskingum.
