Capital University Recognizes Zachery Boyer for Excellence During Annual Honors Convocation

Capital University honored nearly 70 students for excellence in academics, service, leadership and achievement in their discipline at the annual Honors Convocation held during spring semester near the end of the academic year.

Zachery Boyer, of Lucasville, OH 45648, received the Outstanding Senior Leader (Man) for outstanding leadership and service to Capital University students. This award is given to student who meet these criteria:

1) The student must be a member of the senior class, 2) Male student will be selected on the basis of outstanding leadership to Capital University, 3) The student should have demonstrated leadership in a variety of campus organizations and not just one particular group, 3) Students selected cannot be on the Nominations Committee.

Each year, nominations for the awards are submitted by faculty, staff and administrators depending on the nature of the award. Winners are selected by committees based on a nominee's level of achievement in a specific area, and the criteria set forth by the donor who established the award. Awards range from $50 to $4,800.
