Capital University Recognizes Travis Dilley for Excellence During Annual Honors Convocation

Capital University honored nearly 70 students for excellence in academics, service, leadership and achievement in their discipline at the annual Honors Convocation held during spring semester near the end of the academic year.

Travis Dilley, of Lancaster, OH 43130, received the Watson Achievement in Accounting Award . This award is given to student who meet these criteria:

1) Be a student in good academic standing 2) Be an accounting major 3) Demonstrates outstanding achievement in accounting and involvement in their discipline outside the classroom 4) Has a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and a GPA of at least 3.0 in all accouning courses taken.

Each year, nominations for the awards are submitted by faculty, staff and administrators depending on the nature of the award. Winners are selected by committees based on a nominee's level of achievement in a specific area, and the criteria set forth by the donor who established the award. Awards range from $50 to $4,800.
