Capital University Recognizes Michal Strawn for Excellence During Annual Honors Convocation

Capital University honored nearly 70 students for excellence in academics, service, leadership and achievement in their discipline at the annual Honors Convocation held during spring semester near the end of the academic year.

Michal Strawn, of Archbold, OH 43502, received the The Clovis Frank Award in the Humanities. This award is given to student who meet these criteria:

1) Student in one of the humanities disciplines 2) Proven excellence in at least two of the disciplines 3) GPA over 3.00 4) Junior 5) desire to pursue additional study in the humanities

Each year, nominations for the awards are submitted by faculty, staff and administrators depending on the nature of the award. Winners are selected by committees based on a nominee's level of achievement in a specific area, and the criteria set forth by the donor who established the award. Awards range from $50 to $4,800.
