Capital University Recognizes Maggie Donnellan for Excellence During Annual Honors Convocation

Capital University honored nearly 70 students for excellence in academics, service, leadership and achievement in their discipline at the annual Honors Convocation held during spring semester near the end of the academic year.

Maggie Donnellan, of Maineville, OH 45039, received the Gene Slaughter Award for athletic and academic excellence. This award is given to student who meet these criteria:

1) Student-athlete 2)Sophomore, junior or senior academic status 3) Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.

Each year, nominations for the awards are submitted by faculty, staff and administrators depending on the nature of the award. Winners are selected by committees based on a nominee's level of achievement in a specific area, and the criteria set forth by the donor who established the award. Awards range from $50 to $4,800.
