Capital University Recognizes Jessica Potts for Excellence During Annual Honors Convocation

Capital University honored nearly 70 students for excellence in academics, service, leadership and achievement in their discipline at the annual Honors Convocation held during spring semester near the end of the academic year.

Jessica Potts, of Clyde, OH 43410, received the S.A. Singer Memorial Award for outstanding proficiency in mathematics. This award is given to student who meet these criteria:

1) Junior or Senior 2) Outstanding proficiency in mathematics

Each year, nominations for the awards are submitted by faculty, staff and administrators depending on the nature of the award. Winners are selected by committees based on a nominee's level of achievement in a specific area, and the criteria set forth by the donor who established the award. Awards range from $50 to $4,800.
