Capital University Recognizes Jared Lee for Excellence During Annual Honors Convocation

Capital University honored nearly 70 students for excellence in academics, service, leadership and achievement in their discipline at the annual Honors Convocation held during spring semester near the end of the academic year.

Jared Lee, of North Bend, OH 45052, received the To King Kwan Teacher Education Award for the outstanding senior in adolescent/young adult education with an interest in cultural diversity. This award is given to student who meet these criteria:

1) Outstanding graduating senior in Adolescent/Young Adult Education 2) Demonstrated the desire and the capacity to work with students and families from diverse cultural and language backgrounds

Each year, nominations for the awards are submitted by faculty, staff and administrators depending on the nature of the award. Winners are selected by committees based on a nominee's level of achievement in a specific area, and the criteria set forth by the donor who established the award. Awards range from $50 to $4,800.
